Haveli Marble Private Limited (HMPL) is a Udaipur-based, family-founded enterprise incorporated on 26th July, 1994. Rooted in nearly five decades of presence in the natural stone industry, the company has evolved from a single mining venture into a diversified business group with leadership in marble & granite mining, processing and exports, and a growing presence in the premium hospitality sector.

The Legacy — Founder’s Story
The Haveli story begins in 1975, when the late Shri Ghanshyam Singh Krishnawat a visionary entrepreneur and the pioneer of marble mining in Southern Rajasthan entered the natural stone sector. Starng with soapstone mining at a me when the industry was at its peak, he displayed remarkable foresight by transioning to marble mining before the market turned, securing allotments of Pink Marble mines and establishing himself as a trailblazer in the then-nascent marble slab cuƫng industry.
Over the following decades, he expanded the group’s mining porƞolio to include Black Marble and Green Marble, and simultaneously drove mechanisaon of mining operaons introducing state-of-the-art excavators, drilling machines, and gantry cranes long before they became industry standard.
Shri Ghanshyam Singh Krishnawat was a recipient of the President’s Award for his services to the industry and was honoured by the Brish Parliament House of Lords for his contribuon to preserving tradions in the hospitality industry. He passed away in March 2021, leaving behind a legacy of courage, adaptability, and instuon-building.
The Transition — Second Generation
Carrying forward this legacy are his sons, Mr. Veeram Dev Singh Krishnawat (Managing Director) and Mr. Yaduraj Singh Krishnawat (Director). Under their leadership, the company has undergone significant transformaon expanding from marble into granite mining and processing
1. Marble & Granite Mining, Processing & Exports
HMPL operates approximately 2,87,000 sq. metres of mining area (across the company, its directors and associates) under lease from the Government of Rajasthan. The product porƞolio spans Black, Pink, Green, and White Marble, and a range of granites in unique colour variees including White Base Granite. The company’s state-of-the-art processing unit at Sukher, Udaipur houses Marble Gangsaws, Granite Multi-Wire Cuers, a fully automatic Epoxy Resin Filling Plant, a 22-head Polishing Line, and other advanced infrastructure. Products are exported to China, USA, Italy, Egypt and other
markets.
2. Hospitality — The Chunda Collection
HMPL entered hospitality in 2009-10 with Hotel Chunda Palace, a 51-room luxury boutique heritage hotel in Udaipur that has become one of the city’s landmark destinations, known for its blend of traditional Rajwada grandeur and contemporary elegance. The group has since added:
- Hotel Chunda Shikar Oudhi — a 10-room exclusive wildlife retreat set within over 650 bigha of private forest, offering river safari, jungle trails, bird watching, and privacy for HNI and celebrity guests.
- Hotel Chunda Haveli — a charming mid-city property offering lake and palace views, catering to the upper-mid segment traveller.
